We had a great weekend of benefits hosted at the Cave in Chapel Hill and Pinhook in Durham. Thank you to the venues and fans of Selector Dub Narcotic’s Calvin Johnson, Rich James, and Catherine Edgerton for supporting the Orange County Rape Crisis Center and the Queer Fish Center. We enjoyed two great evenings that involved musical samplings of talented artists and community support for two local non profits.
Gentry Hodnett, from the Orange County Rape Crisis Center, kicked off the event on Saturday reminding us that April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. She thanked Mighty Neighborly for bringing greater community awareness to local resources available at the OCRCC. In addition to helping those in crisis, the OCRCC has services and resources for those wishing to engage the topic of consent. To check out these resources and upcoming events at the OCRCC please visit the OCRCC website.
The Queer Fish Center has an upcoming meeting on April 11 and encourages anyone interested to join. Please visit the Queer Fish Center site for more information.
